North Croydon - Croydon

Operator: Croydon Bus Service Pty Ltd

Introduced 7th July 1969

Page last modified/checked: Saturday, 21 May, 2005

This particular arrangement differed from the other bus/rail weeklies in this series in that the tickets were of a large card format available only from the bus driver. No stocks were held at Croydon station for sale. Based on similar tickets used on the Whittlesea - Regent bus, the bus driver was required to write in the issue date, however it is not known if the passenger then had to present the ticket at Regent (or Croydon) to have the VR weekly numeral stamped on it. The reason an illustration is not provided is because these tickets were not issued by the VR, and did not come through the normal channels following their withdrawal, thus none were available for collectors, and therefore us. If anyone is able to provide a ticket or scan (200dpi) thereof, please contact us at robx-at-optushome-dot-com-dot-au.
